As you enter the Dishes of India's dining room, you will be seduced by a delightful exotic spiced aroma. And what a dining room it is, very pleasant, light colored, with traditional pink tablecloths and comfortable chairs. Chef Ramanand Bhatt and Chef Sohan Singh have devoted over 70 years total to the art of cooking, and you will taste this dedication in every bite at Dishes of India. On the weekends you will find Chef's Specials.

Dishes of India prepares traditional Indian food from all corners of India. Specialties of Dishes of India include Mughlai, Tandoori, Charcoal Barbeque Grill and Indian Curries. There are northern dishes baked in a special tandoor oven, or incorporating the wonderful, fresh Indian cheese (paneer), or showing the Persian origins of Mughlai cooking in the elaborate rice dishes called "biryani."

Good Indian cooking is subtle and complex. Spicy hot dishes are only a small part of the repertoire, and there is never a hint of that brassy-flavored yellow canned "curry powder." The word "kari" actually means "sauce," and each dish must have its own distinctive, unique blend of herbs and spices. Lamb Karahi, a traditional Northwestern dish, includes barbecued pieces of lamb cooked on very high heat in a wok with fresh tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, green peppers, herbs, and spices. Dishes of India invites you to visit soon so that you can experience Indian food at its finest.
